In the clinic's own words
“We support GPs with full flexibility and true autonomy. They are not buzz words to us.”
The clinic, in its own listing

Every clinic says flexible. This one put it in the contract by leaving the lock-in out of it.

The working week

What an ordinary Tuesday actually looks like.

Real photos of the clinic, the shopping centre it sits in, and what is waiting outside the door.

The reception desk of a brand new clinic, with dark timber cabinetry and pendant lights, opening onto a shopping centre walkway

Brand new, and built to work in

A brand new clinic, fitted out from scratch. New rooms, new equipment and nothing inherited from a practice that was set up for somebody else.

A bright, busy shopping centre walkway with shoppers walking past the shopfronts

Steady foot traffic for your books

The clinic sits inside a busy bayside shopping centre. People walk past the door all day, every day, which is how a new clinic builds a book without waiting years for word of mouth.

An open-air shopping centre car park lined with palm trees on a sunny afternoon

Free parking, every day

No meter, no permit, no circling the block before your first patient. Park, walk in, start.

A supermarket entrance inside a shopping centre, with fresh produce on display

Groceries on the way to the car

Finish your session, grab what you need for dinner and walk to the car. No extra stop on the way home.

A treatment room with a blue examination chair, curtains and a wall-mounted dressing station, with a girl sitting on the chair and smiling

Every room fully equipped

Treatment rooms and consulting rooms are set up before you arrive. You bring yourself. And if you need a stethoscope, they will get you one of those too.

A clean, bright consulting room with an examination couch, a sink and a paper towel dispenser, and a girl sitting on the couch

Three nurses to every doctor

Nursing support at three to one, so the dressings, the care plans and the follow-up calls are not all landing on you.

The number, said plainly

70%, plus a bonus, with a floor underneath it.

A percentage on its own leaves a new doctor carrying the quiet weeks alone. Here there is a guaranteed minimum under it, and a bonus on top.

What you’re paid

70% of billings, and never less than $175 an hour

You are paid 70% of what you bill, with a guaranteed minimum of $175 an hour underneath it. Whichever comes out higher is what you are paid.

  • Plus 6.25% of everything you bulk bill, paid as a quarterly lump sum
  • No lock-in contract, no minimum term
  • Relocation assistance

Paid for before your first patient
  • Best Practice. The clinical software, paid for by the clinic.
  • Lyrebird AI scribe. Paid for. Your notes are done when the patient walks out.

Your books, your call

No lock-in, and no shifts you don’t want.

A lot of contracts come with strings: a twelve-month term, a cap on holidays, someone else deciding how full your books are. This one doesn’t.

01

No lock-in contract

No minimum term and no time commitment. You stay because it suits you.

02

You set your books

Full days, school hours, three days a week. Your call, not a roster’s.

03

Take the month in Europe

Holidays are yours to take. Nobody caps them.

04

Remote access and telehealth

Check results from anywhere, or switch off completely. Telehealth days are supported too.

Finish your last patient, and be on the water fifteen minutes later.

The scope you’d actually work

Full scope, and room for your interests.

Special interests are supported here, not offered in the abstract once you have proved yourself.

A long, bright, brand new clinic corridor with consulting room doors on either side and a girl walking away down it

Want to know if they’d support your special interest?

Ask. Tell us on the form what you want to build and we will put the question straight to the clinic and come back to you with their answer, before you commit to anything.

Service lines the clinic supports

01

Full-scope general practice

Family medicine for every age in a growing bayside community, with a brand new patient list you build from the first week.

02

Skin

Skin cancer medicine is one of the clinic’s service lines, alongside cosmetics. If you want to grow it, say so up front.

03

Women’s and children’s health

Women’s health, antenatal care, Mirena and IUD insertion, and children’s health, in a catchment full of young families.

04

Mental health and ADHD

Mental health and ADHD are standing service lines, along with addiction medicine for a doctor who wants it on their list.

05

Chronic conditions, with nurses to match

Chronic disease management with nursing support at three to one, so care plans do not sit on your desk.

06

Sports, occupational and the rest

Musculoskeletal and sports medicine, occupational health and WorkCover, allergy testing, sexual health and travel medicine.

Whether you’re eligible

Who this role works for, said up front.

A role you can’t bill from is not a role, however good the rest of it reads.

Fellowed GPs

FRACGP, FACRRM or another recognised fellowship. Vocationally registered GPs are who the clinic is looking for first.

Trained overseas? Ask.

The clinic considers the Expert pathway, has a supervisor available, is open to accreditation and sponsors 482 visas.

Check your provider number

Capalaba is Modified Monash 1 and not a DPA. If you are under the moratorium, check where you stand first. The app does it for you.

And if this room isn’t yours, another one is

If the moratorium or your registration rules this room out, it rules out this room, not your search. The same free app carries the DPA, rural and supervised roles that do fit you, and checks every one of them against your own registration before you apply. Leave your details anyway and we will point you at them.

Never guess again

The app checks every role against your registration

Your fellowship, your scope, your right to work and your DPA position, checked against every listing before you apply. Not sure where you stand? Put “not sure” on the form.

Where you’d work

Bayside Brisbane, with the city on call.

Capalaba sits between the bay and the city: the water one way, the CBD the other.

Boats moored along the still water of a Raby Bay canal at sunset, with waterfront homes and palm trees behind

Fifteen minutes to Raby Bay

Finish your last patient and be home on the water fifteen minutes later. Waterfront living at Raby Bay is that close.

A sunny foreshore park in Cleveland with a footpath, shady trees and the calm water of Moreton Bay

Cleveland, the bay and Straddie

Cleveland is minutes away for the beach, Mount Cotton is close by for bushwalks and mountain biking, and the ferry takes you to Straddie for the weekend.

The Brisbane CBD skyline across the river from the South Bank parklands on a bright day

The city, when you want it

Brisbane’s CBD is about 30 minutes away. Close enough for a night out, far enough that you don’t commute through it.

Why this one is worth a look

Most clinics ask you to commit first. This one invests in you first.

The tools are paid for, the rooms are equipped and the nurses are on the floor before you see your first patient. There is a guaranteed minimum under your income, a bulk billing bonus on top of it, no lock-in contract, and the water fifteen minutes away.

How this works

No CV, no recruiter, no fee, ever.

An agency’s placement fee comes out of the same pot as your package. Not here. The clinic covers our fee, so nothing is taken out of your rate.

01

Tell us you’re interested

Two minutes on the form above, with nothing committed on your side.

02

Create your free profile

Download the app or use the web app. Our team attaches this role to your account, so it is waiting at the top of your listings.

03

Chat anonymously, then meet

Message the clinic directly as an anonymous persona. When you apply and they accept, you both see who you are and talk directly.

Straight answers

The questions doctors actually ask us.

01How do I actually apply?
Through the Heart Bridge Health app, which is free for doctors and always will be. Leave your details on the form above and our team attaches this role to your account, so it is waiting at the top of your listings when you open the app. The app checks the role against your registration, your scope and your right to work, so you know whether you fit before you apply. You stay anonymous the whole time: the clinic sees nothing about you until you apply and they accept.
02What does it actually pay?
Seventy per cent of billings, plus a bulk billing incentive of 6.25% of everything you bulk bill, paid to you as a quarterly lump sum. Underneath that is a guaranteed minimum of $175 an hour, or 70%, whichever is higher, so the weeks while your book builds are not yours to carry alone.
03Is there really no lock-in contract?
Really. No lock-in contract, no minimum term and no time commitment. The clinic’s view, in its own words, is that it would rather shut its doors than make a GP work a shift they don’t want. You set your books, you take your holidays, and you stay because the practice suits you.
04Can I work part-time or school hours?
Yes. Full days, school hours or three days a week: you set your own books. The clinic is open Monday to Friday, and with remote access and telehealth support some of your week can be from home if that suits.
05What is already paid for?
Best Practice, the Lyrebird AI scribe and Cubiko practice analytics are all paid for by the clinic, before you see a single patient. Every room is fully equipped, nursing support runs at three to one, and the clinic runs billing and earning sessions with industry leaders just for its doctors.
06I trained overseas. Can I work here?
Possibly, and it is worth asking. The clinic accepts FRACGP, FACRRM and other recognised fellowships, considers doctors on the Expert pathway, has a supervisor available, is open to accreditation and sponsors 482 visas. The catch is location: Capalaba is Modified Monash 1 and not a Distribution Priority Area, so if you are subject to the section 19AB moratorium you need to confirm your provider number position first. The app checks this against your registration for you.
07Where exactly is it?
Capalaba, in bayside Brisbane, inside a busy shopping centre with free parking. Raby Bay is about fifteen minutes away, Cleveland and the Straddie ferry are close by, and Brisbane’s CBD is about 30 minutes. The exact address comes to you when you apply and the clinic accepts.
08Why isn’t the clinic named on this page?
For the same reason your name isn’t on its screen. Both sides stay anonymous until there is a mutual yes. You see exactly who they are inside the app the moment you apply and they accept, and they see who you are at the same moment.
09If I enquire here, does the clinic get my details?
Only if you say so. The form asks, and you can say no. Say yes and we pass your name and contact details to the clinic so they can talk to you directly. Say no and we send the role to your app inbox instead, and you message the clinic yourself, anonymously, until you choose to apply and they accept. Either way your details are never sold and never go anywhere else.
10What does Heart Bridge Health cost me?
Nothing, ever. At an agency the placement fee comes out of the same pot your package is paid from. Here nothing comes out of your rate: the clinic covers our fee, it is a fraction of what an agency charges, and nobody earns more by steering you somewhere you would rather not go. We introduce you and then get out of the way.
One clinic, by the bay

Would it hurt to have a look before you say a word?

Applications run through the app: free forever, anonymous until you apply, and it tells you how you match before you do. Download it, or use the web app at app.heartbridgehealth.com.au if you would rather not download anything.

Every figure on this page comes from the clinic's own listing in the Heart Bridge Health app and from the clinic directly, and is indicative until confirmed in writing with them. Rates, billing arrangements and the hourly minimum are matters for you and the clinic. Distribution Priority Area and Modified Monash classifications are set by the Department of Health and change, so confirm your own position with the Department. Photographs and videos were filmed at the clinic and around Capalaba, Raby Bay, Cleveland and South Bank.

Acknowledgement of Country
